Yin

Yin Yoga has been described as ‘medicine for the modern world’. A relatively new practice with ancient roots which integrates the wisdom of Hatha Yoga, Taoist philosophy and Buddhist tradition.

Yin Yoga is a simple, quiet, gentle meditative practice for all which works on many layers of our being. Creating shapes with the physical body, the ligaments, joints and fascia are targeted, the subtle energetic body stimulated and a container created for the mind to become still and observe. This space allows for deep and blissful relaxation, the body to rest and restore, the spirit to enliven and the soul to awaken.

Benefits include:

  • Improved range of motion

  • Improved flexibility

  • Tissue hydration

  • Joint lubrication

  • Reduces both physical and mental tension

  • Calms the nervous system

  • Improve mental well-being

  • Reduces stress and anxiety

  • Free flow of chi

A regular Yin Yoga practice is recommended and will benefit all.
